The men confessed that on November 15, they illegally entered Laos to buy the methamphetamine pills which were hidden in cans of beer and soft drinks, and intended to be sold in Vietnam.
The case is under further investigation.
On June 15, Thanh Hoa police also captured a man residing in Laos’ Houaphan province for transporting 1,200 methamphetamine pills.
Earlier this month, three people were arrested in the province for smuggling three bricks of heroin from Laos to Vietnam.
