The suspect was identified as Hang A Ky, 31, currently residing in Muong 2 Hamlet, Muong Lat district, Thanh Hoa province. Ky was caught red-handed at 4.10pm on October 19 whilst he was transporting 20 bricks of heroin weighting a total of 6947.48 grams in Hop Minh ward, Yen Bai City.

Ky admitted that he was hired to transport the drugs from Thanh Hoa to be distributed in Yen Bai.

The case is still under investigation.
