The surgery fund for poor patients set up by Dr Tran Quoc Khanh from Vietnam-Germany Hospital aims to help financially disadvantaged patients to pay treatment and surgery fees for fatal diseases. |
Six patients, mainly disadvantaged children, will be beneficiaries of the VND100 million raised at the music performance. |
The fund was first introduced in Ha Tinh on December 9, 2017. |
The music performance raised more than VND1 billion from benefactors. Dr Khanh says such a sum can cover the costs of performing around 50 surgeries for impoverished patients in 2018 and he hopes to receive yet more support from generous patrons. |
