On the first day of work, medical doctors from Children Action and Saint Paul Hospital gave examinations to 111 children from provinces and cities nationwide before deciding on suitable treatment. After the examination, free surgeries were conducted on 29 children with spinal defects, movement disorders and Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI).

Earlier in the first phase of the orthopedic surgery co-program between Saint Paul Hospital and Children Action in March, successful surgeries were made on many children with disabilities, two of them had free surgeries in France.

Up to now, Children Action has helped cure more than 10,000 Vietnamese children with deformities. Two to three teams of medical specialists from France, Switzerland, Spain and Vietnamese doctors from Saint Paul Hospital will provide medical check-ups and surgeries to children with congenital defects and movement disorders every year.
