The record haul smashed last year’s collections by VND500 million.
Since the drive’s inception in 1996, Cargill has raised over VND66 billion which has been used to build 67 schools for 13,000 students in mountainous areas throughout the country.
In 2013 alone, Cargill has helped build seven schools costing total VND7.7 billion in some central and southcentral provinces.
The company targets to build 75 schools nationwide by 2015.
