The fire was reported at 8:45 a.m. and is now under control. However, fire crews will remain on the scene to battle hotspots.
The fire gutted the warehouse before firefighters had a chance to respond and spread rapidly to nearby houses, causing damages in the hundreds of thousands of Vietnam dong, said Chair of the Huu Bang Commune.
High-tension wires burned in the fire and were dropping to the ground while firefighters were battling the blaze, said the Chair. Power was shut down to the area to ensure no live wires fell on firefighters.
All power has now been restored.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
