The donation is within activities marking Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day (May 1), said a Club representative at a recent event to introduce the 12th Charitable Caravan Trip.After 12 non-profit programs, the club has raised more than VND20 billion from benefactors and entrepreneurs to help poor children throughout the country. Additionally, it has also mobilized more than VND8 billion to build libraries and provide learning materials for children in remote areas.Director of the National Fund for Vietnamese Children Hoang Van Tien said despite the reducing child poverty rates, there are still 3 million poor children and around 2.5 million others are running the risk of falling into difficult circumstance.  This requires combined efforts and greater contributions from social organizations, he added.
