According to the customs office at Cai Mep port, this is one among 17 containers of steel scrap that the Pomina 2 Steel Company imported to produce steel. Those containers were transported on Liberia-flagged ship Mark Shenzhen.The customs office is coordinating with the drug crime investigation division of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Police in investigation.
100 cakes of heroin detected in imported scrap container
Authorised offices in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau on July 24 uncovered 100 cakes of heroin (about 35kg), hidden in a container of imported scrap.
