He said he believes that under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee withXi Jinpingas a nucleus, the Party, State and people of China will successfully achieve goals set by the 19th Congress and reap greater achievements in the cause of building and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics towardsbuilding China into a modern socialist nation that is prosperous, strong, democratic, civilized, harmonious and beautiful.
Trong stressed that the Party and State of Vietnam attach importance to consolidating and promoting the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperation between Vietnam and China and highly appreciated General Secretary, President Xi Jinping's upcoming visit to Vietnam and his attendance at the APEC 2017 Summit. The two sides will work closely to ensure the success of the visit, he added.
For his part, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said the Chinese Party, government, and people treasure the relations with Vietnam as both countries share the destiny of strategic importance. He expected that both increase pragmatic cooperation for their people’s practical benefits and for peace, stability, and prosperity.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc also received Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Hanoi on the same day.
