Themed “Leveraging 25 years of cooperation, Building an integrated, sustainable and prosperous GMS”, the GMS-6 is expected to attract roughly 2,000 delegates and 150 reporters.
It is designed to mark the 25th founding anniversary of the GMS Programme and outline cooperation orientations for building a region of prosperity, integration and sustainable development.
A business forum will be held for the first time within the framework of the GMS-6 as an initiative of host Vietnam with the aim of promoting dialogues between States and businesses and forging links between regional and global enterprises.
The CLV-10 aims to review the implementation of the Master Plan for Socio-Economic Development of the CLV Development Triangle Area for 2010-2020, discuss cooperation orientations in the time to come, and seek ways to enhance the trilateral economic connectivity.
Priority fields cover infrastructure development, energy, telecommunications, tourism, trade-investment, human resources, and the environment.The sixth Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS-6) Summit and the 10th Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam (CLV-10) Development Triangle Summit are considered the most important multilateral external events to be hosted by Vietnam this year.
