Samsung's products are highly competitive and globally popular, Phuc noted. Vietnamese ministries, sectors and, especially those from the northern province of Bac Ninh are very interested in Samsung's production and business activities and they are willing to facilitate the group's investment procedures, he added.The cabinet leader showed support for the group’s plan to expand investment in Vietnam and wished that Samsung would not only assemble electronics but also extend its technological capacity in order to manufacture new-generation technology products that keep abreast with the development trend as well as meet requirements of the current information technology revolution 4.0.
He said he hopes the group would help Vietnam develop an e-government system, a field in which it has a wealth of experience.PM Phuc applauded the group’s investment in building the Office of the Research and Development Centre in Hanoi, adding that he has assigned the Ministry of Planning and Investment and municipal authorities to consider the group’s suggestions, ensure the progress of the work and promptly report to him if necessary.
He suggested Samsung continue offering training and technological transfer to Vietnamese supporting industry enterprises, especially small- and medium-sized ones, to join the supply of materials and spare parts to the group.
Choi, for his part, said Samsung Vietnam are making every effort to fulfill set targets and achieve growth across a wide range of fields.
He also asked ministries, agencies and Bac Ninh province to offer optimal conditions for the group, particularly the Samsung Display Vietnam. The Samsung Vietnam leader thanked PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc for supporting the group's operations and expressed Samsung's determination to further intensify its investments and expand production as contributions to Vietnam's stronger economic development.
