There is one week to go till Christmas. Several cathedrals in Hanoi have been wonderfully decorated. Pictured here is St Joseph’s Cathedral, Hanoi. 
St Joseph’s Cathedrals is located at 40 Nha Chung street, Hoan Kiem district. It is adorned with sparkling lights, pine trees and a full scale nativity set. 
Pine trees and a nativity scene with everyone present at Jesus’s birth are popular images during the Christmas season.
A small barn depicts Jesus being born surrounded by many people and some sheep.
This is an ideal destination for visitors who want to get into the festive spirit during Christmas time.
 
Cua Bac Church is one of many destinations in Hanoi that draws Catholics and Hanoians during the Christmas period. It is situated at No 56 Phan Dinh Phung street, Ba Dinh district.
Cua Bac Church was built in 1931 – 1932 by a French priest and architect with an Asian-European design.

Small presents are arranged at the foot of the pine tree, as is the tradition.
 
Ham Long Church is located at No 21 Ham Long street, Hoan Kiem district. It was designed by a Vietnamese architect and completed in December 1934.

A large stage is erected inside the church to prepare for Christmas Eve on December 24th. There are roughly 30 small and big churches in the capital city of Hanoi.
