Ha Giang attracts visitors to its spectacular landscapes and brocade fabrics made by local women from Lung Tam Linen Cooperative in Lung Tam commune, Quan Ba district. 

Established in 2001, Lung Tam Linen Cooperative has more than 100 members, all from the Mong ethnic minority group. 

Mrs Vang Thi Mai – head of Lung Tam Linen Cooperative teach the children to stitch the brocade fabric. 

Lung Tam brocade is made of local linen materials. The whole process of making brocade includes 41 stages, all of which are done manually. 

  Flax plants can be harvested after two months and dried to make threads. 

Traditional patterns are made manually by the Mong ethnic minority people. 

Lung Tam linen products have been introduced to 20 European nations, generating high income for local people.
