The 16th Saint Petersburg International Book Fair opens on May 26, with the event featuring the participation of 111 leading publishing houses based in Russia. At the function, a Vietnamese stall jointly organised by the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House and the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Russia is participating in the event.
A series of books providing information about President Ho Chi Minh serves as the highlight of the Vietnamese stall.
The Vietnamese stall draws plenty of attention from visitors and Russian media agencies such as Tass and Izvestia. Photographed is Governor of Saint Petersburg Alexander Beglov paying a visit to the stall.
The stall of the Union of Russian Writers is prominent at the occasion. Moving forward, the fair is scheduled to run until May 29.
A large number of books by Piter Publishing House are put on display. The fair was first held back in 2006 and since then it has become one of the largest events for Russian book lovers.
