A designer spends plenty of time creating an Ao Dai collection which is made up of from silk to bring comfort to people.
The show also aims to raise public awareness and responsibility towards preserving and promoting Ao Dai, the national costume. The outfit is widely regarded as a key part of national cultural heritage, according to the organisers of the event.
Fifteen designers introduce 15 Ao Dai collections inspired by the different cultural aspects of 15 countries worldwide.
The patterns represent different cultures of each respective country.
Each outfit features a famous architectural site from across the globe.
Designer Hue Nhi of Can Tho city opens the show with a collection demonstrating numerous Vietnamese patterns.
The event also sees Indian culture shown through an Ao Dai collection by Ngoc Han, Miss Vietnam 2010 and now a designer. In addition, German architectural sites can be seen on the outfits by designer Lan Huong.
The function serves to promote cultural exchanges among numerous countries worldwide.
As many as 600 separate Ao Dai are introduced during the event.
Over 400 models, including Italian, Indian, and Laotian ambassadors participate in the show.
A similar show is scheduled to be held at the Temple of Literature on April 9.
