Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong joins Vietnamese and Lao leaders to cut the ribbon to inaugurate the event.
The camp is part of a range of activities being held to mark the Vietnam-Laos Friendship and Solidarity Year 2022.
Many sculptors and painters from both countries attend the camp.
The organisers receive 25 sculpture works and 40 posters. One first prize, two second, and three third prizes are awarded to the winners of each sculpture and poster category.
Artists at the camp produce works based on typical images and symbols of the special friendship between the two nations over the years.
Art performances are held throughout the duration of the camp.
