A total of 16 footballers from Thailand’s U23s arrive at Thien Truong Stadium in Nam Dinh province on May 4. They will play in Group B alongside Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, and Singapore.
The Indonesian team have recently experienced a 10-day training camp in the Republic of Korea which is the hometown of their head coach Shin Tae-young. They will face Vietnam in Group A’s opening match at Viet Tri Stadium in Phu Tho province on May 6.
Coach Shin selects the best players for the Indonesian U23 squad, including new young talents and footballers who can play in foreign football clubs. They expect to progress through to the semi-final round.
The Indonesian footballers hold their first training session in Phu Tho on May 4 before playing their first match against Vietnam two days later.
Myanmar’s U23 side arrive in Phu Tho on May 1 after returning from the United Arab Emirates where they had held a training camp.
The Myanmar team coached by Velizar Popov are the first side to arrive in Vietnam for Group A matches. They stay at the Muong Thanh Hotel in Viet Tri alongside the U23 teams from Indonesia, the Philippines, and Timor Leste.
Myanmar will play their first match against Timor Leste on May 8. With careful preparations made they resolve to make a breakthrough at the regional tournament.
