After acquiring the permission to compete at the global pageant, Ngoc Thao, the sole Vietnamese representative at the event, has trained hard for the contest.

VOV has learned Ngoc Thao is carrying 10 pieces of luggage weighing nearly 150kg in total. She will be placed in quarantine in both Thailand and Vietnam for a month upon her return from the competition.
She strictly follows health recommendations against COVID-19 by wearing a personal protective suit before boarding the plane.
She is said to bring with her a national costume, an evening grown, alongside Vietnamese specialties.
Ngoc Thao feels confident at the airport before departure. She says she expects strong support from Vietnamese people during the competition.
