K Hospital’s Tan Trieu medical facility is put into isolation following 10 of its patients testing positive for COVID-19 on the morning of May 7.
Among the 10 positive cases are six patients currently receiving treatment at the site along with four of their relatives.
Dozens of soldiers are mobilised to the scene in order to carry out the task.
Soldiers carefully check their vehicles and their equipment before spraying disinfectant throughout the site.
A total of 10 specialised vehicles are utilised in order to fully spray the hospital’s premises.
Workers mix the chemicals used in disinfection work at the scene.
Soldiers begin work on sanitising the site at 1:30 p.m. on May 7.
Disinfection work is carried out both inside and outside of the hospital.
Soldiers proceed to spray disinfection inside the hospital a total of three times.
The entire site is locked down following a patient being diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. This comes after a patient receiving treatment at the COVID-19 hotspot the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases No. 2 in Dong Anh district was brought to K Hospital on April 27.
After carrying out COVID-19 testing on people at the site, a total of six patients and four of their relatives at K Hospital’s Tan Trieu medical facility tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The hospital’s surrounding areas are also sprayed with disinfectant.
Disinfection work is also carried out on the Nguyen Xien-Xa La intersection.
