Locals in central Vietnam rush to cope with upcoming typhoon

VOV.VN - Residents in central Vietnam are quickly bracing themselves for the damaging impact of impending typhoon Conson that is forecast to hit the central region early next week at the height of the COVID-19 fight.

Tran Thang Loi, secretary of Son Tra district’s Party Committee, says the locality is trying its best to protect local people's lives and property amid the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Owners of coastal hotels in Da Nang mobilise their employees to shovel sand, and brace doors and windows to avoid collisions when the typhoon hits.
