Khanh Van, the winner of Miss Universe Vietnam 2019, represents Vietnam at Miss Universe 2020, the 69th iteration of its kind.
She sets off from Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on May 2, bringing with her 15 pieces of luggage.
Global beauty website Missosology recently ranked the Vietnamese representative 21st among the Miss Universe pageant’s hot picks.
Fans will be given the chance to participate in a vote launched by the Miss Universe pageant which is due to run until May 15. The winner of the vote will subsequently progress to be among the competition’s 21 finalists.
After being hit by a year of delays due to the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the 69th Miss Universe pageant is being held in the US between May 6 and May 16.
