On display across the event will be 75 drawings of artist and Buddhist Kim Duc. Some pieces were exhibited at the ninth National Buddhist Congress of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha back in 2022.
During the exhibition, Most Venerable Thich Khai Tuan will hold talks to discuss lotus stories and the significance of flowers as part of life.
The event is co-organised by the Buddhist Sangha of Vietnam and the UNESCO Center for Fine Arts in Hanoi. The purpose of the occasion is to spread the significance of lotus flowers in life and to encourage people to overcome difficulties and enjoy better lives.
The lotus art exhibition opens with the theme of “The art of purity” and will last through to March 31.
