VOV.VN - A significant number of eateries across both UNESCO-recognised world heritage site of Hoi An city and Dien Ban town in the central province of Quang Nam have been forced to shut their door to customers on their premises in response to a ban imposed by local authorities.

The local administration moved to temporarily suspend some activities as part of efforts to combat the COVID-19 on May 10, including closing fitness centres, yoga clubs, billiards centres, coffee shops, restaurants, and beverage outlets.

Eateries have been granted permission to continue to operate, but only takeaway services are encouraged.
Many coffee shops and eateries across Hoi An city and Dien Ban town put up notices, encouraging customers to use takeaway services.

A coffee shop owner says he is afraid the fourth wave of the pandemic is set to be even more complicated than previous waves. He has therefore closed his shop in a joint effort to halt the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus among the community.
