The festival is held annually on the 12th and 13th days of the second lunar month, with this year the event falling on March 3 and March 4.
Participants join in dances and a street parade through Ma May and Luong Ngoc Quyen streets.
Bach Ma (White Horse) Temple is among the four sacred temples which is dedicated to the gods who guard the four gates of the Thang Long Citadel. The three other temples include Quan Thanh, Kim Lien, and Voi Phuc.

Visitors will have the chance to listen to performance of Ca Tru (ceremonial singing), as well as enjoying playing folk games during the course of the two-day festival.
