1,400 returnees from Hai Duong to Hanoi test negative for SARS-CoV-2

VOV.VN - Up to 1,400 people returning to Hanoi from Cam Giang district in the northern province of Hai Duong following the Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet, have tested negative for novel coronavirus (COVID-19), according to the capital’s Department of Health.

As of February 18 Hanoi’s administration has successfully identified over 1,900 people travelling from Cam Giang district in Hai Duong province to Hanoi since January 15. Among them, 1,800 people have samples taken for a quick test, with 1,400 individuals testing negative for SARS-CoV-2.
The authorities of Hanoi request that all people returning to the capital from coronavirus hotspots in 12 cities and provinces remain in isolation at home and have samples taken for quick COVID-19 tests.

People who have returned from Cam Giang district in Hai Duong province since January 15, along with other districts in Hai Duong province since February 2, will have samples taken for quick tests between February 18 and February 20. This is in addition to individuals coming back from other COVID-19 hotspots in 11 cities and provinces across the country.

Hanoi’s authorities plan to carry out tests in high-risk areas which are home to foreign experts and people returning from COVID-19 hotspots.
Ten tables for quick COVID-19 tests are set up inside Phan Huy Chu high school in order to maintain the two-metre social distance as part of COVID-19 control measures.
