The Association of Phu Quoc Fish Sauce Producers registered the Phu Quoc trademark in the EU in 2009 after several overseas companies had taken advantage of its popular fish sauce brand name to sell widely in European countries.

Phu Quoc fish sauce is exported to the US, EU and many Asian countries.
