The export price in seven months averaged US$91.754 per ton, down 14.5% from the same period last year.Germany and the US remained the two largest consumer of Vietnam coffee with market shares of 15% and 13%, respectively.Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA) reported that despite sharp increase in export revenue, most Vietnam coffee products for exports are raw materials with low added value.Additionally, poor management of the quality of products in terms of safety and hygiene is a burning issues facing the coffee industry, it said while asking management agencies to intensify strict supervision over food hygiene and safety in the coming time.
