Accordingly, the KADI proposed anti-dumping measures on Vietnamese products for five years at import duties of 12.01% - 28.49%, the rates identical to the dumped prices in Indonesia after it identified that steel sheet imports from Vietnam have caused significant losses to the domestic production industry.

Earlier on December 23, 2016, the KADI initiated an anti-dumping investigation into colour-coated steel sheets imported from Vietnam and China.

According to a report by KADI, the total volume of colour-coated steel sheets imported by Indonesia during the investigated period (from July 2015 to June 2016) was 224,119 tons, including 196,190 tons from Vietnam and China, accounting for 87.5% of the total volume of Indonesia’s imports.
