Chinh expressed his pleasure to visit the NYSE, the world’s largest stock market, and ring the bell to end the trading session.
He thanked the NYSE leadership for warm welcome and hoped that the NYSE would share its experiences to help develop the Vietnamese stock market in an effective and sustainable manner toward building a financial centre in the region.
The PM witnessed the awarding of two cooperation documents on finance, banking and investment funds between Vietnamese and US partners. Among them was a cooperation document between the State Securities Commission of Vietnam and the NYSE on market upgrade and a mechanism for investors to take part in the two stock markets.
