Besides around 40 big businesses which are suppliers of input and output products, distributors like TH True milk and Co.op Mart, and about 100 delegates who are clients, partners, and cooperatives from many countries and territories around the world such as the Republic of Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan will also join the event.

At a press conference to introduce the fair, Nguyen Ngoc Bao, chairman of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, said that 70% of the 350 pavilions will showcase agroforestry and seafood products, while the remaining pavilions will display handicrafts, and industry and service products.

The agroforestry and seafood products are produced to VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards, said Mr Bao.

In addition to introductions of products, the fair will organize activities to connect supply and demand and facilitate the negotiations and signing of deals between domestic and foreign cooperatives and businesses. It will also include seminars to promote trade and technology and lure capital for the development of Vietnamese cooperatives, said Mr Bao.

According to the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, the country has more than 20,200 cooperatives, including 12,200 agricultural cooperatives.
