MoLISA Deputy Minister Pham Minh Huan stated that the workshop also aims to help businesses in general and RoK investors in particular understand more about Vietnam’s labour market. The deputy minister noted that the RoK is the biggest foreign investor in Vietnam as well as the third largest trade partner and the second biggest provider of official development assistance of Vietnam. There are now around 130,000 Koreans living in Vietnam and more than 4,000 RoK companies investing in the country. He reported that by October 1 this year, Vietnam’s working age population stood at around 47.8 million. During the workshop, delegates shared information about salary policies and the minimum wage as well as welfare for workers such as housing, social insurance and labour safety.
