Aerial view of construction on the Tan Vu-Lach Huyen Bridge linking the districts of Hai An and Cat Hai in the city of Hai Phong.

Once completed, the Bridge will directly link the Hanoi-Hai Phong Highway with National Highway 5, National Highway 15 and the Noi Bai-Ha Long Highway.

The government hopes the Bridge will facilitate travel to the Lach Huyen International Port.

After three years of construction, the last girder segment of the Bridge isset on January 6, 2017.

The project is funded through official development assistance from Japan and monies from the Vietnam government general fund.

The Bridge has four lanes and is 15.63 kilometres long.

The official opening for the Bridge is planned for May.
