According to the Foreign Trade Department under the Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, the deadline for submission of bids is 2:00 pm (Sri Lanka time) or 3:30 pm (Vietnam time) on October 31.The tender prices will be calculated according to the free on board (FOB) or cost, insurance and freight (CIF) prices, the department said, adding that 50 percent of rice must be delivered before November 30 and the remaining before December 31.A bid security of two million Sri Lankan Rupees (approximately 13,000 USD) or 0.1 percent of the total cost of the tender and an one- kilogram sample pack in each rice variety need to be submitted.More details of the tender are available at http:///www.industry.gov.lk, the department said.
