The four-day exhibition aims to promote the development of the technology market, create links and facilitate cooperation between scientific research organisations and businesses and improve the use of technology and competitiveness of the national economy.The event is expected to attract some 600 organisations and businesses from Vietnam, ASEAN, the European Community, the US and Russia.

The exhibition will also feature many seminars focusing on four topics: clean and renewable energy, EU-ASEAN creativity innovation, new materials and science and technology for new rural development.At Techmart, innovations uncovered through scientific research, especially in the field of technology, and new equipment that will have a tremendous impact on the economy will be introduced and transferred to the relevant industries, Le Xuan Dinh, Director of the National Agency for Science and Technology Information at the Ministry of Science and Technology, said.Techmart Vietnam 2012 attracted 500 companies, researchers and organisations and saw the signing of 1,200 memoranda of understanding worth more than VND1.52 trillion (US$67.54 million) between the participants of the event.
