This dragon-shaped bonsai tree is the combination of three specialties of Hung Yen province. The unique artwork is one of the highlights of Hung Yen Longan Festival 2018 that will run until September 4 in Hanoi.
The dragon-shaped bonsai tree is made by Minh Bao Cooperative in Khoai Chau district.
The bonsai designs show the skillful hands of the region’s gardeners.
“Longan flower basket”  is a creation of the members of Hung Thinh Agriculture Cooperative in Khoai Chau district.
The flower basket draws visitors' attention at the event.
Hung Yen province’s total output in 2018 is estimated at about 42,000 tons, an increase of 30% compared to last year.
This year, the price of Hung Yen longans has increased 10%-20% compared to 2017.
Hung Yen longans have gained entry to some demanding markets such as the US, Australia, France, Germany, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
Recently, nearly 100 Chinese businesses committed to purchasing Hung Yen longans from the 2018 crop and over the coming years. 
Hung Yen longans are widely distributed to the southern market as the province’s major longan growing areas have signed a cooperative agreement to distribute their products through the Co.opmart supermarket chain this year.
