Commodities on display at the fair include agricultural products, safe food, key industrial products, local specialities, support industry products, popular Vietnamese products, and handmade crafts.
A display area to show the difference between genuine and counterfeit goods is set up by the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade.
On the opening day of the fair, the most popular booths are those showcasing safe food, agricultural products and local specialities.
Many localities bring their products to the fair.

Sapa mushrooms,
and Phan Thiet seafood.
Nguyen Thi Lan from Alpha Company, which specializes in agricultural products, says her company takes part in many fairs every year, as it is a great way for small enterprises to advertise their products and connect to partners.
She says more and more people are discovering her company’s products through fairs.
Nguyen Vu Nguyen, owner of Ngo Thi Viet Company from Quang Ngai Province, which specializes in garlic and onions, says the fair is a good opportunity for him to promote his company’s products.
Mr Nguyen says Ly Son garlic is a speciality in Quang Ngai Province and is well-known across the country, however, few people know about the usage of Ly Son garlic and the fair offers his company the chance to advertise the products.
Fashion booths offer a wide range of choices for visitors.
 
A booth displaying craft products
