The latest review saw the price of E5 RON92 biofuel rise by VND334 to reach VND27,460/litre, while the price of RON95-III edged up by VND440 per litre to be traded at VND28,430/litre.
Elsewhere, the prices of diesel 0.05S and kerosene were capped at VND25,530/litre and VND23,820/litre, respectively. In addition, Mazut 180CST 3.5S is now to be sold at no more than VND21,560/kilo.
The two ministries also decided to make use of the petrol price stabilisation fund at a rate of VND300/litre for E5 RON 92, VND400/litre for RON 95, and VND100/litre for diesel.
Over the past four months of the year, petrol prices have increased a total of eight times and decreased three times.
The two ministries adjust domestic petrol and oil retail prices every 10 days to ensure they are on a par with global market fluctuations.
