The ceremony heralds the start of a US$25 million factory that is the product of a joint venture between the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industrial Group (TKV) and VCM Mong Corporation based out of the Republic of Korea.
  

Upon completion in August 2018, the plant will span some 50 hectares and have the capacity to produce 6,000 shipping containers annually, creating hundreds of good paying jobs benefiting the local economy.

Deputy Prime Minister Hue welcomed yet another business funded by the two stakeholders noting their broad portfolio of investments in segments ranging from food to home appliances to auto components.

Also in attendance at the event and participating in the ceremonial turning of the first sod was former National Assembly Chair Nguyen Sinh Hung.
