During the online signing ceremony, Phan Ngoc Tho, chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, expressed great appreciation for the investment proposal put forward by AEON Mall.

The locality will support the company by providing information on investments, as well as the project’s surveying and researching works and other procedures after an investment license was granted for the development of the shopping centre, said Tho.

Furthermore, Thua Thien-Hue province is keen to co-operate with the company to build a shopping mall that is closely associated with the development of raw material areas, thereby contributing to improving the overall quality of the leading products of the province.

In response, Tetsuyuki Nakagawa, general director of AEON Mall Vietnam Co. Ltd., also outlined the desire to co-operate with Thua Thien-Hue in order to research the plan of building a regional-level trade centre in the locality.

Entering Vietnam in 2003, AEON has so far developed a chain of its shopping malls in four cities and provinces in Vietnam.
