Transport Minister named Secretary of Da Nang City’s Party Committee

The appointment was made under the Politburo’s decision which was announced at a conference in the city on October 7. Speaking at the event, Politburo member and head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh said during the 2015-2020 tenure, the Standing Board and the Secretary of the municipal Party Committee committed wrongdoings that have hurt the Party’s prestige. Chinh asked the board to unite to fulfill tasks assigned by the Party and people and called on former leaders and local residents to contribute to the development of the city. Nghia, for his part, vowed to do his best together with the board to develop the city. He will replace Nguyen Xuan Anh, who was dismissed from the positions of Secretary of the Da Nang municipal Party Committee, member of the municipal Party Committee’s Standing Board and the municipal Party Committee for the 2015-2020 tenure.
