The month-long session has addressed many critical issues says NA Chair Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan in her closing remarks.

Chief among them is an amended law on the management and use of state assets, new resolution of the bank bad debt crisis and new rules to strengthen food safety.

The session has been conducted with a spirit of innovation, solidarity, creativity and action by National Assembly deputies who actively discussed, debated and contributed their ideas with respect to their legislative work.

All told, she says, the National Assembly passed 12 laws, 12 resolutions and commented on six other bills.

The National Assembly also took time to review Government reports on the additional assessment of the performance of socio-economic tasks in 2016 and the socio-economic development plan for the early months of 2017.

In this session, the National Assembly has also approved the state budget finalization in 2015 requiring the Government to strengthen its control over the state budget.
