She thanked Poland for its preferential credit worth 250 million EUR for Vietnam, hoping that the two countries soon sign a framework agreement on financial cooperation in the credit, so specific projects can be implemented as soon as possible. PM Beata Szydlo said she believes in the development of the bilateral cooperation in the coming time, especially in the context that the Vietnam-EU free trade agreement is about to become effective. On the basis of the two countries’ fine traditional friendship and as an active member of the EU, Poland will continue supporting the strengthening of the Vietnam-EU comprehensive cooperation and partnership. 

Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the growth of bilateral cooperation in numerous fields, with two-way trade reaching US$760 million in 2015. 

The two countries have advantages to expand cooperation in agriculture, defence, health, pharmaceuticals, tourism, and culture, they agreed. The Polish leader emphasised the contributions of the Vietnamese community in Poland to the host country’s development. She also shared the stance of settling East Sea disputes by peaceful means on the basis of international law, when being informed of recent developments in the waters by Thinh.
