Upon the arrival of his guest, State President Quang underscored the robust and reliable foundation of cooperation that has blossomed with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) over the years.

ADB has provided considerable support for the economic reforms in Vietnam, said State President Quang and he expressed his heartfelt appreciation for that support.

During the meeting the two leaders discussed climate change initiatives and specifically those ADB programs promoting solar energy in Asia, which hold great promise for providing energy in coming years.

They also discussed priority projects and programs in such segments of the economy as the oil and gas, electric power industry, transport infrastructure, water supply, housing construction, small business, healthcare, education and public utilities.

The two sides expressed their convictions that this program will fill the partnership relations with qualitative substance and shape a background for the extension and enrichment of bilateral mutually beneficial interaction.

Takehiko Nakao expressed his gratefulness to State President Quang for a warm reception and the appreciation of the Bank’s activity in Vietnam.
