An official welcome ceremony hosted by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang with full honours for Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc takes place at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

The two leaders witness the signing of nine cooperation documents.

PM Phuc meets with Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Zhang Dejiang,

with President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) Li Xiaolin,

and families of former Chinese experts who lent Vietnam a hand during the resistance wars in the past.

The Vietnamese government leader also has meetings with Chinese banking and corporate executives in Beijing,

At a reception for Ma Jiangqian, General Director of the Chinese company, PM Phuc asks China Railway Sixth Group Co. Ltd, the main contractor of Hanoi’s Cat Linh-Ha Dong railway project, to promptly address existing problems to ensure the project’s scheduled progress. 

He meets the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and President of China Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People.

The Vietnamese government leader told Xi Jinping that Vietnam treasures the strengthened political trust, constant consolidation and promotion of the traditional friendship between two countries.

He receives Wang Jiarui, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.

Phuc and his delegation visit the Vietnam Embassy in Beijing and talk with overseas Vietnamese people and students.

PM Phuc leaves Beijing on September 14 for Hong Kong (China)
