“The contest gives Vietnamese locals, visitors and fans a fun way to promote the country they love,” said a representative of the Vietnam Tourism Review Department under VNAT.

From December 17, 2015 through May 31, 2016, shutterbugs can submit their entries to the Tourism Review Department located at 4 Lieu Giai Street in the Ba Dinh District of Hanoi.

“Tam Giao”won first prize at contest of the 6th National Tourism Art Photo.

The photos will be judged on their ability to capture some compelling aspect of the nation’s tourist attractions, historical or cultural sites, people’s daily life, festivals, customs and cuisine, or traditional craft villages.

One first, two second, three third and five consolation prizes valued at US$2,660 in total will be presented to the top entries.

Since 1990, the contest has been sponsored by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and VNAT. In the most recent edition, the contest attracted roughly 6,460 entries from 590 entrants.
