The September 26 closing ceremony attracted renowned Chinese actors including Jackie Chan, Andy Lau Tak-Wah, Chen Kaige, and Richie Jen.
The movie, directed by Vietnamese American filmmaker and screenwriter Victor Vu, is adapted from a best-selling novel by author Nguyen Nhat Anh telling the childhood of two brothers in 1980s.

Victor won the Jury Prize at the International Film Festival in Hanoi in 2012 for his kung fu film, Thien Menh Anh Hung (Blood Letter).
In 2013, his Bi Mat Tham Do (Scandal), a work about the dark side of showbiz, got the Golden Kite Prize for best director presented by the Vietnam Cinematography Association.
Yellow Flowers on Green Grass is scheduled to premier in Vietnam on October 2.
