To prepare for the emcee role, Thuy says she is paying special attention to the many differing outfits she will wear on stage.

On the afternoon of August 25 she visits the showroom of designer Xuan Le to try on several gowns.

For important events, she often consults with Xuan Le for his expert advice.

For each part of the show, they carefully select the most appropriate matching outfit.

This gown with its meticulously detailed textures and blue accents throughout perfectly accent Thuy’s skin tone.

This turquoise coloured pearl dress, a throwback to the decades of the 1960s and 1970s, will work perfectly for another part of the show.

She also tries on a number of stylized more traditional gowns.

The hand-embroidered motif on this dress is sure to attract a great deal of attention.

She hopes the Miss Vietnam hopefuls will be confident in their abilities and shine brightly on the final night of competition.
