The event, themed “I Love Vietnam”, was part of activities for the ongoing fifth Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival.
Miss Vietnam 2016 Do My Linh served as an ambassador for the festival.
She looked stunning in a light pastel blue Ao dai.

: A staff member of the Women's Union in District 4 said she was very proud to wear the exquisite national costume.

As part of the event, 200 scholarships and fabric for Ao dai were presented to poor students with outstanding academic results.
Many second-hand Ao dai were donated to less fortunate women.
